Nu Sounds, Everything We Do Is Gonna Be Funky, UNI Records 1989

It's a cold world ain't it, Kong? Who wants to look in on Mackville from the outside? You might remember Nu-Sounds on Jazzy Jay's Cold Chillin' in the Studio compilation and their single Condition Red. They soon followed that release with their full length Mackin'. In addition to the mackin' theme revealed on the cover, the LP also showcased some really nice late 80's joints. Simply Go, Mercenaries of Chaos were pretty rugged and the Ohio Playes sound nice on Skin Tight. Bambaataa also shows up on the funked out Body Slam.

Everything We Do Is Gonna Be Funky kicks the LP off and is a proper indication of the tracks that followed it. This cut is a nice little bouncer with energy and quirky whistles that make up the chorus. What's also interesting about this track is the amount of sample vinyl static left intact throughout the track. This one shouldn't be to hard to locate.
